About us at Preferred Handpiece Repair
At Preferred Handpiece Repair, we believe that every successful dental practice deserves equipment they can rely on. Since 2001, our family-owned and operated business has proudly provided trusted handpiece repair services to dental professionals across the country.
As a multigenerational family company, we understand that relationships matter just as much as quality workmanship. When you choose Preferred Handpiece Repair, you're not just another customer—you really do become part of our extended family. Our mission is to keep your practice running smoothly by delivering dependable repairs, exceptional service, and quick turnaround times that help minimize downtime.
Over the past 25 years, we've built our reputation on precision, honesty, and personalized care. Every handpiece we service is treated with the same attention to detail we'd expect for our own practice because we know your equipment plays a critical role in caring for your patients.
Today, under new ownership by the next generation of our family, we're investing in the future of Preferred Handpiece Repair. While we're refreshing our look and expanding the ways we serve our customers, our commitment remains the same: providing expert repairs, outstanding customer service, and building lasting relationships with every dental office we have the privilege to serve.
Thank you for trusting Preferred Handpiece Repair. We look forward to helping keep your practice performing at its best.
Meet Dru & Tami Devore
As the new owners of Preferred Handpiece Repair, Dru and Tami Devore are honored to continue a tradition of serving dental practices with dependable repairs, honest service, and genuine care.
Tami, pictured on the left, joined Preferred Handpiece Repair in 2002 as a repairperson. Through years of hard work and dedication, she grew into the role of manager in 2016 before becoming co-owner alongside Dru in 2026. Her passion for serving customers and supporting the team has helped shape the company into what it is today.
Dru, pictured on the right, started repairing handpieces alongside his father in 2001 and became partial owner in 2010. After being part of the business for many years, he is excited to take over as owner as of 2026, carrying on a proud second-generation family legacy. Dru will build on the strong foundation customers have trusted for decades. His vision is to introduce thoughtful improvements while preserving the personal service, quality workmanship, and relationships that have always defined Preferred Handpiece Repair.
Outside of work, family is at the heart of everything they do. Together, Dru and Tami are blessed with six children, five wonderful bonus kids through marriage, and eight grandchildren—with another little one on the way. Their faith and commitment to family guide the way they lead the business, and they strive to treat every customer with the same kindness, honesty, and respect they would want for their own family.
Their faith, family, and commitment to serving others are at the heart of everything they do. When you trust us with your handpieces, you're not just another customer—you become part of the Preferred Handpiece Repair family.
Meet Maddy Pasley
Maddy Pasley has always known Preferred Handpiece Repair as more than a family business—it has been part of her life since before she can remember. As the daughter of Dru and Tami Devore, she grew up around the shop after Tami joined the company in 2002, learning firsthand what it means to serve customers with care, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
In 2018, Maddy officially joined the team and quickly became an essential part of the business. Whether she's repairing handpieces, helping customers, or stepping in where she's needed, Maddy brings dedication, knowledge, and a genuine desire to help every office she works with. She enjoys the hands-on nature of her work and takes pride in knowing that every repair helps keep dental practices running efficiently and their patients receiving the care they deserve.
Maddy is married to her high school sweetheart, Bryce, and together they are raising three wonderful children: Pierce, Charlee, and LuElla. Much like their mom, they've grown up around the family business, and it's become a second home to them. As a little girl, Maddy spoke of one day doing what her mom did. Now, at just six years old, Charlee has already shared that she wants to follow in her mom's footsteps and repair dental handpieces, too. It's a small, sweet reminder that the next generation is already learning the values that have made Preferred Handpiece Repair into the family it is today.
When she's not at work, Maddy loves spending time with her family and making memories with Bryce, Pierce, Charlee, and LuElla. Whether they're enjoying the outdoors, spending time together, or making the most of a day at home, she treasures every moment with the people she loves. Those same values of kindness, patience, and putting others first are reflected in the way she approaches both her work and the relationships she builds with customers.
Dependable, friendly, and always willing to lend a hand, Maddy is passionate about caring for both the customers she serves and the team she works alongside. She takes pride in helping keep dental practices running smoothly and making every customer feel like part of the Preferred Handpiece Repair family.
Meet Cecilia Ulrich
For Cecilia Ulrich, Preferred Handpiece Repair has always been more than a workplace; it's where she grew up. Another one of Dru and Tami Devore’s daughters, she grew up like her siblings, helping sticker envelopes, building shipping boxes, and learning that every small job plays an important role in serving customers. Growing up around the business gave her an appreciation for the craftsmanship, integrity, and personal relationships that have made Preferred Handpiece Repair a trusted partner for dental practices for decades.
In 2021, Cecilia officially joined the team as a repair technician and content editor, giving her hands-on experience with both the repair process and the day-to-day operations of the business. After marrying her husband, Brooks, in March 2026, she relocated and transitioned into a remote role, where she now works alongside Dru to develop and maintain Preferred Handpiece Repair's website and growing online presence. Together, they are focused on creating an online experience that reflects the same quality, trust, and personal service customers have come to expect from the shop.
Outside of work, Cecilia enjoys spending time with Brooks while balancing life as a full-time college student pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. When she isn't studying or working on the website, she loves to read and be outdoors. She enjoys the simple things in life and values every opportunity to learn, grow, and spend time with the people she loves.
Whether she's creating website content, improving online resources, or helping customers find the information they need, Cecilia enjoys making Preferred Handpiece Repair more accessible and welcoming for both longtime customers and those discovering the company for the first time. She is passionate about helping the family business continue to grow while staying true to the values it was built on.
Sweet, creative, and always eager to help, Cecilia takes pride in making every interaction with Preferred Handpiece Repair informative, welcoming, and personal. She believes every customer deserves the same care and attention the company has been built on for generations and is excited to help continue that tradition.
