Dental Handpiece Repair FAQ

What brands do you repair?

1

We service many of the industry's leading brands, including KaVo, Midwest, NSK, W&H, Bien-Air, Star, Brasseler, MK-dent, and many others. If you don't see your brand listed, simply contact us—we're happy to let you know if we can help. Find out more about what we repair →

Most repairs ship back within 1-2 business days of arriving at our shop in Altamont, Illinois. We cover shipping both directions. If you have a time-sensitive repair, let us know and we'll do our best to move it to the front of the line.

How long do repairs usually take?

2

Do you provide free estimates?

3

Yes! We proudly provide free repair estimates. If you choose the "Estimate" option on your repair form, we'll inspect your handpiece and contact you with our findings before performing any work.

There are several signs that it may be time to have your handpiece inspected. Common indicators include unusual noise, a gritty or rough sound during operation, excessive vibration, a bur that wobbles or slips, loss of power, air or water leaks, or a light that no longer functions properly. If something doesn't feel right, it's always better to have it checked. We provide free estimates, so you can make an informed decision before any repairs are completed.

How do I know if my handpiece needs repair?

4

Do you repair more than just high-speed handpieces?

5

Yes. In addition to high-speed handpieces, we repair many slow-speed handpieces, contra angles, prophy handpieces, scalers, and other dental instruments. If you're unsure whether we repair a specific item, just give us a call or send us a message.

In many cases, repairing your handpiece is far more cost-effective than purchasing a new one. We'll carefully inspect your equipment and provide honest recommendations based on its condition, age, and the cost of repair. If we don't believe a repair is the best value, we'll tell you.

Should I repair my handpiece or replace it?

6

Absolutely. Every repaired handpiece is tested to help ensure it meets our quality standards before it leaves our shop.

Are all handpieces tested before they are returned?

7

Yes! While we're proudly based in Altamont, Illinois, we provide convenient mail-in repair services for dental practices throughout the United States.

Do you offer nationwide service?

8

Proper maintenance is one of the best ways to maximize the life of your handpieces.
